ORDINANCE N0. $7-035 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIriE AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS A1vD THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND APPROPRIATE ZONING UPON ANNEXATION, AND AUTHORIZING AND liIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That public hearings be held by and before the Planning and Zoning commission of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 3rd day of August, 1987, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas; by and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session convened on the 6th day of August, 1987, at 5:15 o'clock p.m., in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas; and by and before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session convened on the lOth day of August, 1987, at 7:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation and appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following described property: Being a tract or parcel of land situated about 22 miles North 50° West of the City of Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of the B. F. Bourland Survey No. 70 and John Herrington Survey No. 436, and being described as follows: BEGINNING at a stake for corner in the North boundary line of Loop Highway 286 at the West boundary Iine of said Herrington Survey, said point being the Southwest corner of a 2.46 acre tract of land surveyed for M.S. Kimbell; THENCE North a distance of 2050 feet to a stake for corner at: the Northwest corner of a 15 acre tract of land conveyed L.W. Martin by deed recorded in Vol. 364, page 278 of the Deed Records of said County and State; THENCE along the South boundary line of Farm Road 79 as follows: South 77° East a distance of 200 feet; South 79° East a distance of 211 feet to a stake for corner at the Northeast corner of said 15 acre tract of land; THENCE South 0°20' West a distance of 1795 feet to a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of said 2.46 acre tract of land; THENCE South 66°30' West along the North boundary line of said Loop Highway 286 a distance of 427 feet to the place of beginning and contain- ing 17.47 acres of land. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearings to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more that twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Anizexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, RPgular Session, 1963; compiled as Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
