WHEREAS, the popula.tion of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is in excess of_ 25,000 and less than 50,000 inhabi- tants; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WNEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 17.47 acres, more or less, which when added to other property annexed in the year 1987 is less than ten per cent (10%) of the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, a service plan providing f.or the extension of municipal services to the above described territory should be approved; and, WHEREAS, the above described property should be pro- perly zoned as of the date of annexation; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. The following described land and terri- tory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and the present boundary limits of said City, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to-wit: Being a tract or parcel of land situated about 22 miles North 50° West of the City of Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of the B. F. Bourland Survey No. 70 and John Herrington Survey No. 436, and being described as follows: BEGINNING at a stake for corner in the North boundary line of Loop Highway 286 at the West boundary line of said Herrington Survey, said point being the Southwest corner of a 2.46 acre tract of land surveyed for M.S. Kimbell; THENCE North a distance of 2050 feet to a stake for corner at the Northwest corner of a 15 acre tract of land conveyed L.W. Martin by deed recorded in Vol. 364, page 278 of the Deed Records of said County and State; THENCE along the South boundary line of Farm Road 79 as follows: South 77° East a distance of 200 feet; South 79° East a distance of 211 feet to a stake for corner at the Northeast corner of said 15 acre tract of larid; THENCE South 0°20' West a distance of 1795 feet to a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of said 2.46 acre tract of land; THENCE South 66°30' West along the North boundary line of said Loop Highway 286 a distance of 427 feet to the place o£ beginning and contain- ing 17.47 acres of land.
