<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 86-017 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY UF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY ADDING SECTION 18-30 TO SAID CODE; PROHIBITING <br /> ENTRY INTO THE OLD CEMETERY OF PARIS DURING CERTAIN HOURS; <br /> PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL <br /> ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1, 1986. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 18-30 of the Code of <br /> Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be added so <br /> that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Sec. 18-30. Hours of_ Old Cemetery of Paris. <br /> (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to <br /> enter or remain on the Old Cemetery of Paris <br /> commonly known as the Old City Cemetery, which is <br /> bounded on the North by the 500 block of West <br /> Cherry Street and on the West by the 400 block of <br /> 6th N. W. Street which runs from Graham Street <br /> North to West Cherry Street, between the hours of <br /> 8:00 o'clock P.M. and 8:00 o'clock A.M. during the <br /> months of May through September and between the <br /> hours of 6:00 o'clock P.M. and 8:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> during the months of October through April. <br /> (b) It shall be adefense to prosecution <br /> under this section if there were not adequate <br /> signs to give notice of the hours of which entry <br /> or occupancy is prohibited. <br /> (c) Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a <br /> Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall <br /> be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00, and <br /> each and every day's continuance of any violation <br /> of the above enumerated section shall constitute <br /> and be deemed a separate offense." <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" <br /> Misdemeanor, aild upon conviction shall be fined in any sum <br /> not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance <br /> of any violation of the above enumerated section shall <br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br /> Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> Section 4.
