<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. $6-032 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 4-16 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING <br /> THAT ANIMALS BE NEUTERED OR SPAYED UPON BEFORE BEING SOLD <br /> UPON THE FAILURE TO BE REDEEMED BY THE OWNER; PROVIDING FOR <br /> A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING AL,L ORDINANCES OR <br /> PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1986. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 4-16 of the Code of Ordi- <br /> nances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so <br /> that such shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 4-16. Sale of impounded dogs and cats. <br /> <br /> The Chief of Police may sell impounded dogs <br /> and cats for cash after the same have been <br /> impounded for three (3) days. As a condition of <br /> any sale the purchaser shall deposit with the <br /> pound master the charge for neutering or spaying <br /> of the veterinarian of their choice of the animal <br /> selected for purchase; thereafter, the pound <br /> master shall deliver the animal and the fee <br /> collected to the veterinarian of the purchaser's <br /> choice and the animal will then be delivered to <br /> the purchaser by the veterinarian after the <br /> completi-on of the required procedure." <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" <br /> Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum <br /> not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance <br /> of any violation of the above enumerated section shall <br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br /> Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expresslq repealed. <br /> Section 4.
