<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0, 84-004 <br /> <br /> AN ORDIPJANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE III, SECTION 7-31 OF SAID CODE; <br /> PROVIDING FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE BUILDING HAZARD <br /> INSPECTION COMMITTEE AND SUBSTITUTES THEREFOR; PROVIDING FOR <br /> A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br /> OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEkEWITH; ANB PROVIDING <br /> FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 1, 1984. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section l. That Section of the Code of Ordinances <br /> of the City of Paris, Pa.ris, Texas, be amended so that such <br /> shall read as follows: <br /> "...Sec. 7-31. Inspection committee created; <br /> purpose and composition of <br /> committee. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created a building hazard <br /> inspection committee, to be an agency and <br /> instrumentality of the city to aid and assist the <br /> city in the protection of the lives and property <br /> of its citizens under its charter powers. Such <br /> committee shall consist of the City Engineer; the <br /> Chief, Paris Fire Department; and the Director of <br /> Community Development. In the absence of the City <br /> Engineer, or at any time he is unable to act, the <br /> Director of Engineering Services may act in his <br /> place. In the absence of the Chief, Paris Fire <br /> Department, or at any time he is unable to act, <br /> the Assistant Chief of the Fire Department may act <br /> in his place. In the absence of the Director of <br /> Community Development, or at any time he is unable <br /> to act, the Tax Collector may act in his place. <br /> "...Section 7-37. Penalty. <br /> (b) Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this article shall be guilty of a Class <br /> C misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined <br /> in any sum not to exceed one thousand dollars <br /> ($1,000.00), each day's continuance of any vio- <br /> lation of the above-enumerated section shall <br /> constitute and be deeried a separate offense." <br /> Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> Section 3.
