ORDINANCE N0. 84-006 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDIr1G THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDEU BY REVISING CHAPTER 24, OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE STANDARD PLUMBIrIG CODE, 1982 EDITION, AND ESTABLISHING FEES TO BE USED WITH THE SAME; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDI- Pv'ANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINAIICES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY l, 1984. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordi- nances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Chapter 24. PLUMBING AND GAS CODES Article I. PLUMBING CODE Section 24-1. Adopted For the purpose of esrablishing rules and regulations for the ir_stallation, alteration or repair of pipes, fitting ard fixtures for water, «nd sewer in all buildings and structures and on all property now erected or to be erected, changed, constructed, reconstructed, repaired or altered in the City of Paris, Texas, and outside the City of Paris, if same be connected to either the city water or sewage systems, and further regulating the construction, erection, enlarge- ment, alteration or repair of all piping, fittings, fixtures, etc., used for the conduction of water, sewage and in or on and about any and all preMises in. the City of Paris and outside the boundaries of the City of Paris if same be con- nected to either the city water or sewage systems, that certain plumbing code known as Standard Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended by this article, is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy of such Code has been and is now on file in the office of the City Clerk and the provisions thereof shall be controlling as above stated. Section 24-2. Amendments. The Standard Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition, as adopted is hereby amended by adding the following paragraphs thereto: 104.1.1. Persons who may obtain a permit. Plumbing permits may be obtained by the following : (a) Any person having a current Master Plumber License issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Exar:liners. (b) Any person for plumbing work to be done by that persor. in a buildir.g owned and occupied by that person as a. homestead. (c) Any appliance dealer or employee of an appliance dealer who is acting as an appliance insta.llatior_ or service r-ian in
