<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 84-006 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDIr1G THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDEU BY REVISING CHAPTER 24, OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR <br /> THE ADOPTION OF THE STANDARD PLUMBIrIG CODE, 1982 EDITION, <br /> AND ESTABLISHING FEES TO BE USED WITH THE SAME; PROVIDING <br /> FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDI- <br /> Pv'ANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINAIICES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY l, 1984. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordi- <br /> nances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so <br /> that such shall read as follows: <br /> "Chapter 24. PLUMBING AND GAS CODES <br /> <br /> Article I. PLUMBING CODE <br /> <br /> Section 24-1. Adopted <br /> For the purpose of esrablishing rules and <br /> regulations for the ir_stallation, alteration or <br /> repair of pipes, fitting ard fixtures for water, <br /> «nd sewer in all buildings and structures and on <br /> all property now erected or to be erected, <br /> changed, constructed, reconstructed, repaired or <br /> altered in the City of Paris, Texas, and outside <br /> the City of Paris, if same be connected to either <br /> the city water or sewage systems, and further <br /> regulating the construction, erection, enlarge- <br /> ment, alteration or repair of all piping, <br /> fittings, fixtures, etc., used for the conduction <br /> of water, sewage and in or on and about any and <br /> all preMises in. the City of Paris and outside the <br /> boundaries of the City of Paris if same be con- <br /> nected to either the city water or sewage systems, <br /> that certain plumbing code known as Standard <br /> Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition, save and except such <br /> portions as are deleted, modified or amended by <br /> this article, is hereby adopted and incorporated <br /> as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy <br /> of such Code has been and is now on file in the <br /> office of the City Clerk and the provisions <br /> thereof shall be controlling as above stated. <br /> Section 24-2. Amendments. <br /> The Standard Plumbing Code, 1982 Edition, as <br /> adopted is hereby amended by adding the following <br /> paragraphs thereto: <br /> 104.1.1. Persons who may obtain a permit. <br /> Plumbing permits may be obtained by the <br /> following : <br /> (a) Any person having a current Master <br /> Plumber License issued by the Texas <br /> State Board of Plumbing Exar:liners. <br /> (b) Any person for plumbing work to be done <br /> by that persor. in a buildir.g owned and <br /> occupied by that person as a. homestead. <br /> (c) Any appliance dealer or employee of an <br /> appliance dealer who is acting as an <br /> appliance insta.llatior_ or service r-ian in <br />
