<br /> Regular Session convered, ar_ 5:15 o'clock P.M., in. the
<br /> Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, and on the 12th day
<br /> of March, 1984 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Room,
<br /> City Hall, Paris, Texas, which dates are not more than forty
<br /> (40) nor less than twenty (20) days prior to t:he institution
<br /> of annexation proceedings; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of such public hearings was published
<br /> in a newspaper having general circulatior. in the City of
<br /> Paris, Texas, and in the above uescribed terr_itory, cn the
<br /> 26th day of February, 1984, and on the lst day of March,
<br /> 1984, which dates are not more thaii twenty (20) nor less
<br /> than ten (10) days prior to the da.te of such public
<br /> hearings; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the total corporate ar_ea of the City of Paris,
<br /> Pari_s, Texas, on the first day of January, 1984, wa5
<br /> 14,064.84 acres; and,
<br /> WNEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br /> Texas, is in excess of 25,000 and less tha.n 50,000 inhabi-
<br /> tar.ts ; and,

<br /> WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the
<br /> ex.traterritorial juri_sdiction of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br /> Texas; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the abave described territary Iies adjacent to
<br /> and adjoins the City of Pa.ris, Paris, Texas; and,

<br /> W'HEREAS, the above described territory contains 90.62
<br /> acres, more or less, which r,ahen addeci ta other property
<br /> annexed in the year 1984 is less than ten per cent (107) of
<br /> the present acreage contained ir the corporate limits of the
<br /> City of Paris, Texas; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the above described pr_operty should be pro-
<br /> perly zaned as of the date of annexation; NOW THEREFORE,

<br /> tory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris,
<br /> Paris, is hereby added a.nd anr.exed to the City of Paris,
<br /> Paris, Texas, and sai.ci ter.ritory hereinafter described shall
<br /> hereafter be included within the boundary limits ai the City
<br /> of Paris, Paris, Texa.s, and the present bcunciary limits of
<br /> s2id City, at the various poi_r_ts contiguQUS to the area
<br /> hereinaft-er dPSCribed are altered and amended so as ta
<br /> include said area within the corpora.te limits of the City of
<br /> Paris, Texas, to-wit:

<br /> City of Faris, County of Lamar, and State of
<br /> Texas, a part of the Reddin Russell 5urvey, and
<br /> being all. of a 4.113 acre tract of lanci conveyed

<br /> of a 87.56 acre tract of land conveyed Paris,
