<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 84-048 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-154 SUBPARAGRAPH 2.01 OF SAID <br /> CODE; ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF APPEALS AND ADJUSTMENTS; AND <br /> BY ADDING SECTION 12-155; AUTHORIZING THE SETTING OF PERMIT <br /> FEES FOR PERMITS REQUIRED BY THE STANDARD FIRE PREVENTION <br /> CODE, 1982 EDITION, AS REVISED BY 1983 REVISIONS; PROVIDING <br /> FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDI- <br /> NANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1, 1984. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 12-154, Subparagraph 2.01 <br /> of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, <br /> Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Sec. 12-154. Amendments by Revisions. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2.01. Board of Appeals and Adjustments <br /> Designated. <br /> <br /> The Building Commission of the City of Paris <br /> established by Resolution No. 1342 passed on the <br /> 8th day of December, 1969, is hereby designated to <br /> serve as the Board of Appeals and Adjustments with <br /> regard to matters pertaining to the Standard Fire <br /> Prevention Code with powers to recommend variances <br /> to the application of any provision of said Code <br /> and to pass on related matters. The Fire <br /> Official, or his authorized representative, shall <br /> be an ex-official member of said board when acting <br /> with regard to the Fire Prevention Code and shall <br /> serve as secretary to said Board in such matters." <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Article IV of Chapter 12 of the Code <br /> of Ordinance of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended <br /> by adding thereto Section 12-155 which shall read as <br /> follows: <br /> "Article IV. Fire Prevention Code. <br /> <br /> <br /> Section 12-155. Perrnit Fees. <br /> <br /> The City NIanager of the City of Paris is <br /> authorized to establish permit fees for all <br /> permits required by the Standard Fire Prevention <br /> Code, 1982 Edition, as revised by 1983 Revisions. <br /> Such permit fees as established by the City <br /> Manager shall be made available to the public <br /> through the Fire Marshal's Office of the City of <br /> Paris." <br /> Section 3. Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" <br /> Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum <br /> not to exceed $1,000.00, and each and every day's continu- <br /> ance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall <br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />
