ORDINANCE N0. 84-048 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-154 SUBPARAGRAPH 2.01 OF SAID CODE; ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF APPEALS AND ADJUSTMENTS; AND BY ADDING SECTION 12-155; AUTHORIZING THE SETTING OF PERMIT FEES FOR PERMITS REQUIRED BY THE STANDARD FIRE PREVENTION CODE, 1982 EDITION, AS REVISED BY 1983 REVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1, 1984. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 12-154, Subparagraph 2.01 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 12-154. Amendments by Revisions. 2.01. Board of Appeals and Adjustments Designated. The Building Commission of the City of Paris established by Resolution No. 1342 passed on the 8th day of December, 1969, is hereby designated to serve as the Board of Appeals and Adjustments with regard to matters pertaining to the Standard Fire Prevention Code with powers to recommend variances to the application of any provision of said Code and to pass on related matters. The Fire Official, or his authorized representative, shall be an ex-official member of said board when acting with regard to the Fire Prevention Code and shall serve as secretary to said Board in such matters." Section 2. That Article IV of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinance of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding thereto Section 12-155 which shall read as follows: "Article IV. Fire Prevention Code. Section 12-155. Perrnit Fees. The City NIanager of the City of Paris is authorized to establish permit fees for all permits required by the Standard Fire Prevention Code, 1982 Edition, as revised by 1983 Revisions. Such permit fees as established by the City Manager shall be made available to the public through the Fire Marshal's Office of the City of Paris." Section 3. Any person violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $1,000.00, and each and every day's continu- ance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
