<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 84-050 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN <br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE <br /> ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 149 ACRES, <br /> MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PERCENT (10$) OF THE <br /> TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH <br /> SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT <br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS. <br /> WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the <br /> City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons <br /> were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the <br /> proposed annexation of the following described property: <br /> Situated in Lamar County, Texas, being part <br /> of the Joseph Leach Survey No. 524, the Joshua <br /> Moore Survey No. 571, the Ed Crow 5urvey No. 208 <br /> and the John Guffey Survey No. 363 and being <br /> further described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at a point in the North boundary <br /> line of U. S. Highway No. 82 at its intersection <br /> with a line that is 600 feet east of and parallel <br /> to the centerline of the outside lane of Loop <br /> Highway 286 S. E., said point being in the present <br /> City Limit line of the City of Paris; <br /> THENCE in a Southeasterly direction with said <br /> line that is 600 feet east of and parallel to the <br /> outside land of Loop Highway 286 S. E., 2,000 feet <br /> more or less to a point in the North line of Lot <br /> 6, Block A of Morningside Estates; <br /> THENCE East, a distance of 208 feet more or <br /> less to the Northeast corner of said Lot 6, Block <br /> A of Morningside Estates; <br /> THENCE North 0° 26' East, a distance of 628.5 <br /> feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 26, Block A of <br /> Morningside Estates; <br /> THENCE North 0° 20' West, a distance of 619.5 <br /> feet to the northwest corner of a 19.607 acre <br /> tract of land conveyed H. Randall Grounds and A.T. <br /> Edzards, of record in Volume 659, Page 892, of the <br /> Deed Records of Lamar county, Texas; <br /> THENCE South 89° 09' East, a distance of <br /> 1,382.15 feet to the northeast corner of said <br /> 19.607 acre tract; said point being in the East <br /> line of the Joseph Leach Survey; <br /> THENCE North 0° 30130" East with the east <br /> boundary line of said Leach Survey, a distance of <br /> 111.1 feet to a point, said point being 500 feet <br /> South of the South boundary line of U. S. Highway <br /> No. 82; <br /> THENCE in a Easterly direction with a line <br /> that is 500 feet South of and parallel to the <br /> South boundary line of U. S. Highway No. 82 to a <br /> point in the East boundary line of a tract of land <br /> conveyed to Joseph E. Billingsley from Roy G. <br /> Caviness and wife, Mary Caviness by deed filed in <br /> Vol 221, Page 513, Deed Records of Lamar County, <br /> Texas. <br /> THENCE Northerly with the said East boundary <br /> line of said Billingsley tract and the Northerly <br /> extension thereof to a point in the North boundary <br /> line of U. S. Highway No. 82: <br /> THENCE Easterly with the North boundary line <br /> of U. S. Highway No. 82 to the Southeast corner of <br /> a tract of land conveyed to Mrs. Dorothy Thompson <br /> from W. A. Crenshaw and wife, I.M. by deed dated <br />
