<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. $4-071 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 31-3 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR <br /> REVISION OF FEE FOR WATER ANU SEWER TAPS; PROVIDING FOR A <br /> PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br /> PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER l, 1984. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l. That Section 31-3 of the Code of <br /> Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so <br /> that such shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 31-3. Application and fee for water and <br /> sewer taps. <br /> (a) Each person desiring a water or sewer <br /> tap within the city shall make application to the <br /> department of public works and shall pay a fee for <br /> each such tap as follows: <br /> <br /> (1) Each water tap in or across a hard- <br /> surfaced street, $300.00. <br /> (2) Each sewer tap in or across hard- <br /> surfaced street, $400.00. <br /> <br /> (3) Each water tap in or across unimproved <br /> or dirt street, or in an area not in a <br /> public street, $135.00, <br /> (4) Each sewer tap in or across an unim- <br /> proved or dirt street, or in an area not <br /> in public street, $210.00. <br /> <br /> (b) The fees prescribed by subsection (a) <br /> shall apply to a thr_ee-fourths (3/4) inch water <br /> tap and a four (4) inch sewer tap within the ROW <br /> [right-of-way] of streets of which the City of <br /> Paris is responsible for maintenance. The fee for <br /> all other water and sewer taps shall be determined <br /> by the City Engineer based on actual cost. An <br /> estimated cost deposit will be required in <br /> advance." <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" <br /> Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sur_Z <br /> not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance <br /> of any violation of the above enumerated section shall <br /> constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br /> Section. 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on <br /> November 1, 1984. <br />
