<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Texas (the "City") has duly
<br /> issued, and there are now outstanding, pursuant to Vernon's
<br /> ; Ann. Tex. Civ. St. Articles 1111 through 1118 and other j
<br /> is applicable laws, the following series or issues oi revenue ~
<br /> y: bonds which are secured solely by a lien on and piedge of
<br /> ~ the net revenues of the City's entire waterworks and sewer ~
<br /> ' system:

<br /> Series 1957, dated January 1, 1957, now out- ;
<br /> standing in the principal amount of $305, 000 ~
<br /> n; Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds,
<br /> f' Series 1957-A, dated August 1, 1957, now out-
<br /> standing in the principal amount of $185,000 ~
<br /> Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, x
<br /> { Series 1962, dated October 1, 1962, now out- ~
<br /> standing in the principal amount of $130, 000 ,
<br /> Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds,
<br /> Series 1973-A, dated January 1, 1973, now out-
<br /> standing in the principal amount of $145, 000 '

<br /> Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, ;
<br /> Series 1973-B, dated January 1, 1973, now out- '
<br /> standing in the principal amount of $220, 000

<br /> Waterworks and Sewer System Junior Lien Revenue Bonds,
<br /> s Series 1966, dated January 10, 1966, now out-
<br /> standing in the principal amount of $1,820,000;

<br /> (collectively the "Outstanding Bonds"); and
<br /> ;
<br /> i:
<br /> WHEREAS, the Outstanding Bonds are the only bonds or
<br /> other obligations secured by or payable from the net
<br /> revenues of the City' s waterworks and sewer system; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the City has authorized and issued City of
<br /> ' Paris, Texas Certificates of Obligation, Series 1981, dated
<br /> April 15, 1981 (the "Outstanding Bonds"); and

<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City is the governing
<br /> ; body of the City; and
<br /> ~

<br /> WHEREAS, the refunding bonds hereinafter authorized are
<br /> to be issued and delivered pursuant to Vernon's Ann. Tex. ?
<br /> Civ. St. Article 717k, as amended, and other applicable ~
<br /> laws, for the purpose of refunding all of the Outstanding
<br /> Bonds.
<br /> THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> ; CITY OF PARIS:
<br /> Y
<br /> Section 1. BONDS AUTHORIZED. That the City's bonds
<br /> ~ are hereby authorized to be issued in the principal amount '
<br /> Vof $3,110,000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REFUNDING ALL OF THE
<br /> OUTSTANDING CITY OF PARIS WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM ;
<br /> REVENUE BONDS AND THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS CERTIFICATES OF
<br /> OBLIGATION, SERIES 1981.
