ORDINANCE N0. $3-040 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) ON LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 311, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO WILLARD DAUGHERTY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) SO ESTABLISHED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), be, and the same is hereby established on LOT l, CITY BLOCK 311, on property belonging to WILLARD DAUGHERTY, so as to include in such GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS), and that the bound- aries of said GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), be, and the same are hereby established as follows: Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, and being further described as follows: Being a part of the Joseph Leach Survey and being the same property described in a deed from Helen Williams to Willard Daugherty, dated August 30, 1979, recorded in Volume 617, Page 465, Lamar County Deed Records; BEGINNING at a steel rod set for corner at the Northwest corner of Lot 1 of City Block No. 311; also being a point in the South boundary line of Clarksville Street and being a point in the East boundary line of a 25 ft. wide abandoned roadway; THENCE South 279.5 feet along the East boundary line of said abandoned roadway to a steel rod set for corner at the Southwest corner of said Lot l; THENCE East 126.6 feet to a steel rod set for corner at the Southeast corner of said Lot 1; THENCE North 250.3 feet to a steel rod set for corner at the Northeast corner of said Lot l, also being a point in the South boundary line of Clarksville Street; THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along a 1 degree curve to the left a distance of 130.0 feet to the place of beginning. Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Al1 ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
