<br /> AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC
<br /> HEARINGS BEFORE THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE
<br /> CITY OF PARIS AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON
<br /> THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
<br /> PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND APPROPRIATE ZONING UPON ANNEXATION,
<br /> AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF
<br /> SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> PARIS:
<br /> Section l. That public hearings be held by and
<br /> before the Planning and Zoning commission ot the City of
<br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 3rd day of October, 1983, at
<br /> 7:00 o'clock p.m, in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
<br /> Texas; and by and before the City Council of the City of
<br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, in Regular Session convened on the 17th
<br /> day of October, 1983, at 7:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council
<br /> Room, City Hall, Paris, 'I'exas, giving all interested persons
<br /> the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation
<br /> and appropriate zoning upon annexation of the following
<br /> described property:
<br /> Situated about 3 miles East from the City of
<br /> Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part
<br /> of the Joseph Leach Survey, Abstract No. 524, and
<br /> being part of a 34.34 acre tract of land described
<br /> as Third tract in Deed of Trust Records in Volume
<br /> 108, Page 165 of the! Deed of Trust Records of said
<br /> County and State, which is a part of the same land
<br /> described in a Deed from Charles Manton et ux to
<br /> S. E. Smith on January l, 1902, of record in
<br /> Volume 102, Page 464, and the land conveyed S. E.
<br /> Smith by J. G. Marshall, January 18, 1902, of
<br /> record in Volume 103, Page 6, of said Deed Records
<br /> of said County and State, and being turther
<br /> described as follows:
<br /> BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner in the
<br /> East Boundary line of said Leach Survey, situated
<br /> South 00 30' 30" West with the East Boundary Line
<br /> ot said Leach Survey a distance of 611.1 feet from
<br /> the Northeast corner of said 34.34 acre tract,
<br /> same being in the South Boundary Line of U. S.
<br /> Highway 82;
<br /> THENCE South 01 31' 30" West, with the East
<br /> Boundary Line of said Leach Survey, a distance of
<br /> 619.5 feet, a fence post for corner;
<br /> THENCE North 89° 46' West a distance of
<br /> 176.37 feet to a concrete monument for corner, the
<br /> Northeast corner of Morningside Estates, Part 10,
<br /> as shown by Plat that is duly recorded in the Plat
<br /> Records of said county and State;
<br /> THENCE North 88° 49' West a distance of 248.6
<br /> feet to a concrete monument for corner;
<br /> THENCE North 89° 07' West a distance of
<br /> 947.83 feet to an iron pin for corner, the North-
<br /> west corner of said Morningside Estates, Part 10;
<br /> THENCE North 0° 20' West a distance of 619.5
<br /> teet, an iron pin for corner;
<br /> THENCE South 89° 09' East a distance oi
<br /> 1382.15 feet to the place of beginning and con-
<br /> taining 19.607 acres of land, more or less.
<br /> Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
<br /> Paris, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause
<br /> notice of such public hearings to be published once in the
<br />
