2630 ORD PROVIDING EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF COP AND ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 8.99 ACRES

W:iEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first day of January, 1982, was 14,100.5 acres; and, WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is in excess of25,000 and less than 50,000 inhabitants; an d , WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within tne extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, jJHEREAS, the above described territory contains 8.99 acres, more or less, wniclz when added to bther property annexed in the year 1982 is less than ten per cent (l0a/o) of the pre- sent acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas; and, W?iEREAS, the above described property should be properly zoned as of the date of annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. The following described land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, 'Lexas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Paris, Texas, and the present boundary limits of said city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter de- scribed, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to- wit. Situated in the County of Larnar and State of Texas, a par.t of the Isaac Cruse Survey and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the South Right-of-way of U. S. Highway No. 82, said point being in the West City Limit Line of the City of Paris, Texas, said point being West, a distance of 92 feet from the Northeast corner of an 18 acre tract of land out of the Isaac Cruse Survey, conveyed to James L. Brockway an.d wife, Martha B. Brockway, by deed filed March 7, 1957, recorded in Volume 353, Page 356, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; THENCE along the South Right-of-way of U. S. Highway No. 82, West, a distance of 777,2 feet to a point, said point being the Northwest Corner of an 18 acre tract of land conveyed Curtis McDaniels and wife, Kay McDaniels, by deed filed June 23, 1980, recorded in Volume 625, Page 930, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; THENCE South along the West Boundary Line of said McDaniels 18 acre tract of land, a distance of 504 -Peet to a point; THENCE East parallel with the Soutn Right-of-way of U. S. Highway No. 82, a distance of 777.2 feet to a point in the West City Limit Line of the City of Paris; THENCE North along the existing city limit line of the City of Paris, a dis tance of 504 feet to tn.e place of beginning and containing 8.99 acres of land, more or less.
