2650 ORD PROVIDING EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF COP AND ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF ACRES

WHEREAS, notice of such public hearings was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 20th and 27th days of June, 1982, which dates are not more than twenty (20) nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearings; and, WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first day of January, 1982, was 14,100.5 acres; and, WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is in excess of 25,000 and less than 50,000 inhabit- ants; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjuoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 13.15 acres, more or less, which when added to other property annexed in the year 1982 is less than ten per cent (l0a/o) of the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described property should be propertly zoned as of the date of annexation; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. The following described land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Paris, Texas; and the present boundary limits of said city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to-wit: A tract of land located in Lamar County, Texas being a part of the P.eddin Russell Survey #786, and being part of the 94.07 acre tract of land willed to Estelle Council and being shown in an Affidavit as recorded in Volume 305, Page 455 of the Deed Records of said County and State, and further described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the North line of Stone Avenue in the City of Paris and the East Right-ogway of U.S. Highway 271; THENCE S 85 51` E, 215.0 feet along the North line of Stone Avenue to the true point of beginning of the tract herein described; THENCE continue along said North line S 85°51' E, 127,7 feet to a PI in said North line; THEIVCE continuing with said North line S 59°40' E, 454.5 feet to a point; THENCE N 4bg1' W, 817.1 feet to a point; THENCE N 50 30' Wy 5-101.6 feet to the Southeast corner of a tract conveyed to the North Paris Baptist Church by deed recorded in Volume 571, Page 551;
