ORDINAINCE N0. 2508 AN ORDINAIVCE 0F THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRO- VIDING ~HAT THE CODE OF ORDINAIvCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 11-13 BY INCREASING THE PER.r'IIT AND INSPECT- ION FEES LISTED THEREIN; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; A1VD PROVIDIDIG FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1980. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 11-13(a) of the Code of Ordi- nances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by in- creasing thP fees provided for in the following Stia.bparagraphs: (2) ?vew residences, $1. 00 (3) New residences, $1.00 (5) 1/3 H.P. or less, $0.10 (10) Dryers Old residences, $2.00 New residences, $1.00 (11) Air Conditioning Units, $2.00 SectiorY 2. That Section 11-13(c) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended to read as follows: "(c) The fees prescribed by this Section shall apply in the event that the application for the permit is made prior to beginning of any electrical work requiring a permit. In the event any work commences without having procured apermit, the fee shall be double the amount of the charges set forth above. The payment of such additior.al fee shall not be a bar to a prosecution for violation of Sectio-n 11-10." Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be --l"ined in any sum not to exceed $200.00. Section 4. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith axe hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1980.
