ORDINA NCE NO. 2567 , AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEY, BEGINNING AT THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 19TH STREET, N. E, , AT THE SOUTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 227C, AND THE NORTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 227C, BEING 20 FEET WIDE, AND EXTENDING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION APPROXI- MATELY 410 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 20TH STREET, N. E, , AND THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF LOT 3, CITY BLOCK 227C AND THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 227C, LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINES OF LOTS 3, 3A AND 5 AND ADJACENT TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINES OF LOTS 1, lA, 1B AND 2, ALL IN CITY BLOCK 227C; DECLA RING NO NECESSITY OR NEED OF SA ID ALLEY FOR CITY USE OTHER THAN FOR A UTILITY EASEMENT, WHICH IS EXPRESSLY RETAINED BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDiNG FOR AN EFFECTIVE DA'I'E OF APRIL 13, 1981. WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris, that an alley, beginning at the East Boundary Line of 19th Street, N. E. , at the South West Co.rner of Lot 5, City Block 227C, and the North West Corner of Lot l, City Block 227C, being 20 feet wide, and extending in an Easte.rly direc- tion approximately 410 feet, more or less, to the West Boundary Line of 20th Street, N. E. , and the South East Corner of Lot 3, City Block 227C and the North East Corner of Lot 2, City Block 227C, lying adjacent to the South Boundary Lines oE Lots 3, 3A and 5 and adjacent to the North Boundary Lines of Lots l, lA, 1B and 2, all in City Block 227C, is of no use as an alley to the City of Paris or to its citizens, but is of use and necessary to the City of Paris and its citizens for utility easement purposes, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA R IS: Section l. That the alley, beginning at the East Boundary Line of 19th Street, N. E. , at the South West Corner of Lot 5, City Block 227C, and the North West Corner of Lot 1, City Block 227C, being 20 feet wide, and extending in an Easterly direction approximately 410 feet, more or less, to the West Boundary Line of 20th Street, N. E. , and the South East Corner of Lot 3, City Block 227C and the North East Ccr ner of Lot 2, City Block 227C, lying adjacent to the South Boundary Lines oF Lots 3, 3A and 5 and adjacent to the North Boundary Lines of Lots l, lA, 1B and 2, all in City Block 227C, is hereby closed, with the City of Paris re - taining a utility easement. Section 2. This ordinance shall become eEfective on April 13, 1981.
