ORDINANCE N0, 2579 Ald ORDINANCE FIXING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPERTY ON STATE HIGHWAY 24, FROM THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF EVERGREEN STREET, SOUTHERLY 5,900 FEET TO THE SOUTH CITY LIMIT LINE, IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; DIUCTING THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF PARIS T0 PUBLISH THE SAMG THREE (3) TIT 4ES IN THE PAR.IS NEin15 AS 1REQUIRED BY LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ESTIMATE OF COSTS AND CONSTRUCTION PLANS OF SUCH STREET AND HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS PREPARED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND FURNISHED TO THE OFFICE OF CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND FILED WITH THE CITY COUNCIL; FIXIN'u THE CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THL CITY OF PARIS; AND WITH THE INYENTION OF FIXING A CHARGE AND LIEN AGAINST THE ktEAL AN➢ Tt2UE OWNERS 0F SAID PROPERTY AND AGAINST THE SAID PROPERTY ITSELF; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, hereby finds and determines: l. That the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris} Texas, has heretofore by ordinance duly enacted on the 22nd day of October, 1979, determined the necessity for and ordered the improvement of State Hig'zway 24, from the North Boundary Line of Evergreen Street, Southerly 5,900 feet to the South City Limit Lire, by cooperating with the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation in the widening, shaping and partial relocation of said public street and highway, and providing for curb and gutter on each side of said street and highway and providing for storrn seiaer and paving, according to the plans and specifications prepared by the State Depart- ment of Highways anci Public Transportation, and furnished to the Office of City Engineer of the City of Paris. 2. That a notice duly executed in the name of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, of the enactment of said above de- scribed ordinance has heretofore been filed with the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas, tne County in which said City of Paris is situated. 3. That the City Co:ancil has caused the City Engineer to file estimates of the costs of such improvements and esti- mates of the amounts per front foot to be assessed against the property abuttir.g said street and highway within the limits defined and the real and true owners thereof, BF IT ORDAINEB BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. The date for pu'blic hearing before the City Council of the abutting property owners on the above described property is hereby fixed at 7:00 o'clock P.NI., in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 13th day of July, 1981. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris NewS, notice of the public hearings, three (3) times prior to said public hearin;, the first of said notices to be published at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the date o'L the public hearing, as required by law.
