<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> OF.DINANCE N0, 2594 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE <br /> AMErdDED BY REVISI^1G SECTION 27-36 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING <br /> FOP. DRIVEWAY SPECIFICATIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT <br /> TO EXCEED $200,00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br /> ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER l, 1981. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section l, That Section 27-36 of the Code of Ordinances <br /> of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amendeu so that such <br /> shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 27-36, Driveway Specifications. <br /> <br /> (a) All driveway approaches shall be a <br /> minimum of six (6) inches thick for residential, <br /> eight (8) inches thick for commercial, including <br /> the sidewalk area. Approved reinforcing steel <br /> can be used if so desired, or if called for in <br /> the proposal. The concrete will be poured in one <br /> course but a"dust coat" of dry cement (1 part) <br /> and sand (2 parts) will be permitted if so de- <br /> sired. The r.iaximum width of a driveway for <br /> residential purposes will be twenty-five (25) <br /> feet for a double driveway and fifteen (15) feet <br /> for a single driveway. For business nurposes, <br /> the maximum width of a combined entrance and exit <br /> shall be forty-five (45) feet. The r.laximum width <br /> for separate entrances and exits shall be thirty <br /> (30) feet. <br /> (b) On Type B or Type C Major Thoroughfares, <br /> in other than agriculturally or residentially zoned <br /> areas, no "head in" parking ir.imediately off the <br /> street will be allowed where any maneuvering in, or <br /> encroachment of public right-of-way is required to <br /> make use of the space. If this type of parking is <br /> proposed, and the City Engineer determines that it <br /> rzeets the above criteria, the maximum width oi such <br /> entrance will not be limited to forty-five (45) feet, <br /> but rather be determined by the surrounding con- <br /> ditions. <br /> (c) A site plan, submitted by the party re- <br /> questing the permit, shocaing the location and ele- <br /> vation of all driveways (residential and commercial) <br /> must be approved by the City Engineer or his <br /> representative prior to the issuance of permit." <br /> Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions <br /> of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, <br /> and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed <br /> $200.00. <br /> Section 3, Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />
