WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 28th day of July, 1978, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, Paris, 7'exas, on the first day of January, 1978, was 14, 000. 129 acres; and, WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is in excess of 5, 000 and less than 25, 000 inhabitants; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the ex- traterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 25.871 acres, more or less, which when added to other property annexed in the year 1978 is less than ten per cent (10%) of the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described property should be properly zoned as of the date of annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA R IS: Section 1. The following described land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Paris, Texas, and the present boundary limits of said city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to in- clude said area within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to-wit: Situated in Lamar County, Texas, being a part of the Joseph Ames Survey and being a part of the Old Municipal Airport of the City of Paris, Texas, and being a part of the land desdribed as the First Tract in the deed from the City of Paris, Texas, to the Paris, Texas Industrial Foundat.ion recorded in Book 441,. Page 72 of the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a concrete marker located in the SBL of F. M. Road 79, which marker is located at the NEC of the tract of land conveyed to the City of Paris by Pearle C. Baldwin et al of record in Book 260, Page 277, of the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas, and being in the present City Limit Line;
