ORDINANCE NO. 2434 A N ORDINA N CE OF THE CITY OF PA R IS, PA R IS, TEXA S, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 24-1 TO ADOPT 1977 TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE PLUMBING CODE, WITH AMENDMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1979. BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA R IS: Section l. That Section 24 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 24-1. Plumbing Code adopted as amended; short title. (a) The short title of this ordinance shall be 1979 Plumbing Code for the City of Paris, Paris, Texas. (b) The 1977 Texas Municipal League's recommended plumbing code shall provide for the protection and preservation of life and of the public health, safety, property and the general welfare of the people, with provi - sions relating to the installation, alteration or repair of pipes, fittings and fixtures for water, sewer and natural gas in all buildings and structures and on all property now erected or to be erected, changed, constructed, recon- structed, repaired or altered in the City of Paris, Texas, and outside the City of Paris, if same be connected to either the city water or sewerage systems, and further regulating the construction, erection, enlargement, altera - tion or repair of all piping, fittings, fixtures, etc. used for the conduction of water, sewage and natural gas in or on and about any and all premises in the City of Paris and outside the boundaries of the City of Paris, if same be connected to either the city water or sewerage systems, with the following amendments thereto:
