<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 2459 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARISr TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br /> PARIS, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE IV TO CHAPTER 2, <br /> PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHr1ENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY <br /> MEDICAL SERVICE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES <br /> IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF <br /> JULY 9, 1979. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section 1. That Article IV of Chapter 2 of the Code of <br /> Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so <br /> that such shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE IV. EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE. <br /> Sec. 2-49. Department Created. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created in accordance with <br /> Section 25 of the Charter of the City of Paris the <br /> Department of Emergency Medical Service, whose head <br /> shall be known as the Director of Emergency Medical <br /> Service. <br /> Sec. 2-50. Purpose. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the Department of Emergency <br /> Medical Service shall be to provide emergency <br /> ambulance service, transfer ambulance service and <br /> other health services to the citizens of the City <br /> of Paris. <br /> Sec. 2-51 - 2-61. Reserved." <br /> <br /> Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> Section 3.
