ORDINANCE NO, 2481 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING- SECTION 2-19 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY OF PARIS INCREASE -ITS CONTRI- BUTION TO EA CH MEMBER' S A CCOUNT TO 150%; REPEA LING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1980. BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 2-19 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 2-19. Rate of current service contributions. In accordance with the provisions of the statute, the deposits to be made to the Texas Municipal Retirement System on account of current service of the employees of the several participating departments are hereby fixed at the rate of five per cent (5%) of the earnings of each employee of said departments, and in determining the deposits to be made on account of each member's service, the City of Paris shall con- tribute an amount equal to 150% of each such member's accumulated deposits for such month of employment, which sum shall be contributed from the City's account in the Municipality Current Service Accumulation Fund. " Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on January l, 1980.
