ORDINANCE NO. 2487 . AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION TO BE NUM- BERED 27-20; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREETS AND BRIDGES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 14, 1980. BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended by adding a section to be numbered 27 -20, to read as follows : °'Article II. Construction, Repair, Etc. of Streets and Bridges Sec.27-20. Standard Specifications Adopted. For the purpose of establishing rules and regula- tions for the construction of streets and bridges, the Standard Specifications for Construction of Highways, Streets and Bridges, adopted by the State Highway Department of Texas (State Department of Highways and Public Transportation), January 3, 1972, is hereby adopted, save and except such portions as may be de- leted, modified or amended by this Article, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy of such specifications has been and is now on Eile in the Office of the City Clerk, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the construction of streets and bridges within the corporate limits of the City of Paris. " Section 2. That Articles II through V of Chapter 27 be renumbered as Articles III through VI. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
