<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2487 . <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br /> PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY <br /> OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION TO BE NUM- <br /> BERED 27-20; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF STANDARD <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREETS AND <br /> BRIDGES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br /> ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 14, 1980. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF PARIS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris <br /> be amended by adding a section to be numbered 27 -20, to read as <br /> follows : <br /> <br /> °'Article II. Construction, Repair, Etc. of Streets <br /> and Bridges <br /> <br /> Sec.27-20. Standard Specifications Adopted. <br /> For the purpose of establishing rules and regula- <br /> tions for the construction of streets and bridges, the <br /> Standard Specifications for Construction of Highways, <br /> Streets and Bridges, adopted by the State Highway <br /> Department of Texas (State Department of Highways <br /> and Public Transportation), January 3, 1972, is hereby <br /> adopted, save and except such portions as may be de- <br /> leted, modified or amended by this Article, and the <br /> same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if <br /> set out at length herein. A copy of such specifications <br /> has been and is now on Eile in the Office of the City <br /> Clerk, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling <br /> in the construction of streets and bridges within the <br /> corporate limits of the City of Paris. " <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Articles II through V of Chapter 27 be <br /> renumbered as Articles III through VI. <br /> <br /> Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br /> herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
