ORDINANCE NO. 2302 . <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br />PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-121 OF <br />SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION AND USE OF <br />CURB LOADING ZONES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO <br />EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWI?H; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER l, 1976. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS: <br />Section l. That Section 29-121 of the Code of Ordinances <br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall <br />read as follows: <br />"Sec. 29 -121. Designation and use of curb loading <br />zones. <br />(a) The City Council shall authorize the es- <br />tablishment of curb loading zones in locations where, <br />in its opinion, the dimensions of the streets and <br />sidewalks, the flow of traffic and the use of property <br />abutting the streets are such that loading zones are <br />necessary for the free flow and expeditious handling <br />of traffic and the safety of persons and property. <br />(b) The Director of Public Works shall place <br />and maintain appropriate signs and markings indi- <br />cating loading zones established under this section. <br />The signs so placed must state the maximum time <br />limit for concluding such loading. <br />(c) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle <br />in any loading zone except for the expeditious loading <br />or unloading of passengers or materials and must not <br />occupy such loading zones for more than the maximum <br />lawful time posted for such zone. <br />(d) All loading zones lying in a lane of traffic <br />shall be limited to fifteen (15) minutes, and all other <br />loading zones shall be limited to thirty (30) minutes. " <br />Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and <br />upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. <br />Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br />conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on <br />November l, 1976. <br />
