ORDINANCE NO. 2302 . AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-121 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION AND USE OF CURB LOADING ZONES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWI?H; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER l, 1976. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 29-121 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 29 -121. Designation and use of curb loading zones. (a) The City Council shall authorize the es- tablishment of curb loading zones in locations where, in its opinion, the dimensions of the streets and sidewalks, the flow of traffic and the use of property abutting the streets are such that loading zones are necessary for the free flow and expeditious handling of traffic and the safety of persons and property. (b) The Director of Public Works shall place and maintain appropriate signs and markings indi- cating loading zones established under this section. The signs so placed must state the maximum time limit for concluding such loading. (c) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any loading zone except for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers or materials and must not occupy such loading zones for more than the maximum lawful time posted for such zone. (d) All loading zones lying in a lane of traffic shall be limited to fifteen (15) minutes, and all other loading zones shall be limited to thirty (30) minutes. " Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on November l, 1976.
