ORDINANCE NO. 2313 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 14-14(b), ALLOWING TARP- ING TO BE USED AS A TOP MATERIAL, AND SECTION 14-33(a) FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING THE DUMPING FEE FOR GARBAGE OR RUBBISH TO 70¢ PER CUBIC YARD; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL l, 1977. BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 14-14(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 14 -14. Vehicle permit - -Generally, (b) A permit required by subsection (a) shall be issued only for a standard packer type vehicle designed for garbage and refuse collection and transportation service, or a vehicle which has a solid bottom and solid sides, and is equipped with a top of wood, metal or canvas, so that the same may be easily opened and closed when picking up garbage or refuse and will con- tain garbage and refuse within said vehicle. " Section 2. That Section 14-33(a) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 14 -33. Dump fee. (a ) There is hereby fixed a fee af seventy cents (70¢) per cubic yard for all garbage or rubbish, as the same are defined herein, delivered to the sanitary landfill by any person. " Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SectiQn 5. This ordinance shall become effective on April 1, 1977.
