ORDINANCE NO. 2313 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br />PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, <br />BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 14-14(b), ALLOWING TARP- <br />ING TO BE USED AS A TOP MATERIAL, AND SECTION 14-33(a) <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING THE DUMPING FEE FOR <br />GARBAGE OR RUBBISH TO 70¢ PER CUBIC YARD; PROVIDING <br />FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- <br />WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL l, <br />1977. <br />BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS: <br />Section 1. That Section 14-14(b) of the Code of Ordinances <br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall <br />read as follows: <br />"Sec. 14 -14. Vehicle permit - -Generally, <br />(b) A permit required by subsection (a) shall be <br />issued only for a standard packer type vehicle designed <br />for garbage and refuse collection and transportation <br />service, or a vehicle which has a solid bottom and solid <br />sides, and is equipped with a top of wood, metal or <br />canvas, so that the same may be easily opened and <br />closed when picking up garbage or refuse and will con- <br />tain garbage and refuse within said vehicle. " <br />Section 2. That Section 14-33(a) of the Code of Ordinances <br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall <br />read as follows: <br />"Sec. 14 -33. Dump fee. <br />(a ) There is hereby fixed a fee af seventy cents <br />(70¢) per cubic yard for all garbage or rubbish, as the <br />same are defined herein, delivered to the sanitary <br />landfill by any person. " <br />Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon <br />conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. <br />Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />SectiQn 5. This ordinance shall become effective on <br />April 1, 1977. <br />
