SPECIAL MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL <br />TUESDAY, MAY 29, 2001 <br />6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />The Airport Advisory Board Meeting was called to order by the <br />Chairman, Victor Abeles, at 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Victor Abeles, Chairman James Ashmore, Recorder <br />James Proctor Mark Buster <br />J. B. Richey <br />The following members were absent: <br />Vic Ressler Paul Golden <br />Also in attendance were: <br />Tommy Haynes, Airport Director <br />Jim Collier, Airport Manager <br />Larry Schenk, City Attorney <br />Visitors present were: <br />Bill Booth <br />Wendell Moore <br />Joe Goss <br />George Spencer <br />Billy Don Spencer <br /> <br />I1. Discussions of the City Council's request for the Advisory Board to <br /> consider the choice ofa 7 unit nested 'T' hangar vs a 10 unit 'T' hangar. <br /> <br />The Board discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the 7 hangar <br />unit and the 10 hangar unit. The 7 hangar unit will accommodate some <br />light twin engine aircraft because of the clearance height of the sliding <br />doors. The 10 ft. 6 in. clearance of the bi-fold doors of the 10 hangar <br />unit will accommodate most single engine planes but few light twin <br />engine planes. One of the persons on the waiting list has a twin engine <br />plane with a 16 ft. high rudder. No one else on the waiting list at the <br />present time has a twin engine plane.
