ORDINA NCE NO. 2314 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE DI GOAnR ~C ORDINwHICH,WILL~INOCLUDES, BE AMENDED BY D SECTIONS 14-50 AND 14-51, TO CHAPTER 14; PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SOLID WASTE SERVICE CHARGE; PROVID- ING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE - WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1977. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding Article IV, which includes Sections 14-50 and 14-51, to Chapter 14, to read as follows: "Article IV. Solid Waste Service Charge Sec. 14 -50. Definition. As used in this Article the word "Division" shall mean the Water and Sewer Collecting Division of the Department of Finance. Sec. 14 -51. Solid Waste Service Rate. Beginning April 1, 1977 the Division shall collect One ($1.00) Dollar for each single-family residential water customer and for each commercial water customer. The Division shall collect from each multi-family and mobile home park customer an amount equal to 75% of their total residential units times One Dollar. Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on April l, 1977.
