ORDINANCE NO. 2319 , A N ORDINA NCE OF THE CITY OF PA R IS, PA R IS, TEXA S, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 11-73, 11-73. 1, 11-73. 2 AND 11-73.3, AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1975 EDITION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL l, 1977. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 11-73 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 11-73. National Electrical Code, 1975 Edition adopted. For the purpose of practical safeguarding of persons and of buildings and their contents from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, signalling and for other purposes, that certain electrical code known as the National Electrical Code, 1975 Edition, published by the National F.ire Protection Association, is hereby adopted as the minimum standards for the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended by this Article, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy of such Code has been and is now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the installation of all electri- cal wiring, devices and equipment within the corporate limits of the City of Paris. " Section 2. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended by changing the following numbered sections to read as follows: "Sec. 11-73, l. Section 210-8(b) amended. Section 210-8(b) of the Electrical Code adopted by this Article is hereby amended by adding the following to the same: "or shall establish and implement an assured grounding conductor program that meets the minimum re- quirements of OSHA as stated in Federal Register 1926. 400. " "Sec. 11-73.2. Section 210-25(b) amended. Section 210-25(b) of the Electrical Code adopted by this Article is hereby amended by deleting the fi fth para- graph therefrom which states the following: "For a one -family dwelling, at least one receptacle outlet shall be installed outdoors. "
