ORDINA NCE NO. 2354 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION TO BE NUMBERED 29-126, PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR OVERTIME PARKING; PROVID- ING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER l, 1977. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OT PARIS: Section 1. That the Code c>f Ordinances of the City of Paris be amended by adding Section 29-126, to read as follows: "Sec. 29-126. Penalty for• overtime parking. (a) The penalty for overtime parking in a two hour or metered parking area is Two Dollars ($2. 00) if paid upon the date of violation and Five Dollars ($5. 00) if paid thereaEter within nine (9) days. If not paid within ten (10) days the offense shall become a Class "C" Misde- meanor and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00). (b) The penalty for overtime parking in a fifteen (15) minute or thirty (30) rriinute loading zone is Five Dollars ($5. 00) if paid upori the date of violation or within nine (9) days thereof, and if not so paid then shall become a Class "C" Misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00). " Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty oE a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any surrl not to exceed $200. 00. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on October l, 1977.
