ORDINANCE NOo 2359 , <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING OftDINANCE N0. 1710 <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE <br />BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; <br />ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON A PART OF LOT <br />2, CITY BLOCI< 319, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DON R. SMITH <br />AND ROBERT L. SWAIM, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY <br />TORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); <br />AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL <br />DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS: <br />Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the <br />Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Commercial <br />District (C), be, and the same is hereby established on a part of <br />Lot 2, City Block 319, on property belonging to Don R. Smith and <br />Robert L. Swaim, so as to include in such Commercial District (C) <br />the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is pre- <br />sently designated as an Agricultural District (A), and that the <br />boundaries of said Commercial District (C), be, and the same are <br />hereby established as follows: <br />Being all that certain tract or parcel of land situated <br />about two miles northeast of the City of Paris, County of <br />Lamar, State of Texas, a part of the Hiram Williams <br />Survey Abst. No. 1003, also a part of a 21 acre tract of <br />land conveyed James S. Griffin by Marcia Williams Griffin <br />by deed dated July 8, 1953 and of record in Vol. 337, <br />Page 287 of the Deed Records of said County and State <br />and being further described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner, the existing <br />southeast corner of the above mentioned 21 acre tract <br />of land and said pin also being in the North Boundary Line <br />of Loop Highway 286 and the West Boundary Line of the <br />Joseph Leach Survey and the East Boundary Line of the <br />Hiram Williams Survey; <br />THENCE S 88 Degrees 55 Minutes W along the North <br />Boundary Line of said Loop Highway a distance of 207. 8 <br />feet to a concrete monument for corner; <br />THENCE N 73 Degrees 19 Minutes W continuing along <br />the North Boundary Line of said Highway a distance of <br />816. 6 feet to a concrete manument; <br />THENCE N 65 Degrees 42 Minutes W a distance of <br />133. 7 feet to a stake for corner, the existing southwest <br />corner of said 21 acres; <br />THENCE N 0 Degrees 11 Minutes W along the West <br />Boundary Line of said 21 acre tract a distance of 397 feet <br />to an iron pin for corner; <br />THENCE S 73 Degrees 28 Minutes E a distance of <br />1146. 8 feet to an iron pin for corner in the East Boundary <br />Line of said 21 acre tract; <br />THENCE S 2 Degrees 06 Minutes E along the East <br />Boundary Line of said 21 acre tract a distance of 355. 7 <br />feet to the place of beginning and containing 10. 396 acres <br />of land. <br />Being described in accordance with an actual survey <br />made on the ground by R. S. Chaney, Registered <br />Professional Engineer No. 15688, on February 27, 1976. <br />
