ORDINANCE NOo 2365 , <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 70NING ORDINANCE NOo 1710 <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE <br />BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; <br />ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOT 2, CITY <br />BLOCI< 340, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO Rt1SSELL A. GIFFORD, <br />SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED <br />AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); AND DESIGNATING THE <br />BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI'TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the <br />Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Commercial <br />District (C), be, and the same is hereby established on Lot 2, City <br />Block 340, on property belonging to Russell A. Gifford, so as to in- <br />clude in such Commercial District (C) the hereinafter described pro- <br />perty, which was formerly and is presently designated as an Agricul- <br />tural District (A), and that the boundaries of said Commercial <br />District (C), be, and the same are hereby established as follows: <br />Situated within the corporate limits of the City of <br />Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a part of the James Bourland <br />Survey, described by metes and bounds as follows: <br />BEGINNING at a stake i.n the WB line of State Highway <br />No. 24 at its intersection with the NB line of a 56 acre <br />tract of land conveyed by J. C. Crowley to W. C. Walker by <br />deed recorded in the Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas; <br />THENCE South 89 1/2 deg. West 820 feet, a stake on <br />the East edge of the Cooper IZoad, and continuing West 20 <br />feet to the center of said road; <br />THENCE South 176 feet, a stake in the center of said <br />Cooper Road; <br />THENCE East 756 feet, a stake in the WB line of <br />State Highway No. 24; <br />THENCE with the WB line of said Highway North 23 <br />Deg. West 200 feet to the place of beginning, containing <br />3.29 acres of land, according to a survey made by J. W. <br />Crook, County Surveyor of Lamar County, Texas on the <br />4th day of May, 1956. <br />Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of <br />the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the <br />Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions <br />of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the <br />same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br />Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately <br />upon passage. <br />
