TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br />Intent <br />It is the intent of these specifications to insure that this CONTRACTOR will provide the <br />OWNER with a11 material, labor, equipment, supervision and administration of construction to <br />complete an operative project as shown on the drawings and/or described herein. <br />Atl work required to effect these improvements is to be provided by this CONTRACTOR and no <br />item of work or material will be furnished by the OWNER unless specifically set forth herein. <br />Preconstruction Conference <br />A preconstruction conference will be held prior to the beginning of any construction. This <br />meeting will be attended by the CONTRACTOR, the OWNER, the ENGINEER, all <br />subcontractors, and any governmental agencies involved in administration of the project. The <br />meeting date will be established by the ENGINEER after the taking of bids. The successful <br />bidder shall furnish to the ENGINEER a project schedule at this meeting, showing the major <br />items or work to be constructed and the anticipated completion dates. <br />Shop Drawings and Submittals <br />Submit catalog data on the following (5 copies): <br />1. <br />PVC Pipe <br />2. <br />Manholes <br />3. <br />Manhole Covers <br />4. <br />PVC Fittings <br />5. <br />Inflow Inserts <br />6. <br />Backfill Material <br />7. <br />Manhole Rings <br />8. <br />Repair Couplings <br />9. <br />Embedment material. <br />Standard Reference Specifications <br />These contract documents contain references to standard specifications as adopted by the <br />American Waterworks Association (AWWA), the American Society of Testing Material <br />(ASTM), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), <br />the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and the American National Standards <br />Institute (ANSI). All such references shall be construed to refer to the designated standard and <br />the latest revision thereof, regazdless of the specification date shown herein. <br />Material and Workmanshin <br />All equipment, materials, and articles incorporated into the work shall be new, and of a quality <br />equal to, or better than, specified herein. If not specified herein, the quality shall be satisfactory <br />to the ENGINEER. All workmanship shall be of acceptable quality as determined by the <br />ENGINEER, and the OWNER may require the CONTRACTOR to dismiss from the work any <br />75 <br />
