ORDINANCE NO. 2385 . <br />A N ORDINA NCE OF THE C ITY OF PA R IS, PA R IS, TEXA S, <br />PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, <br />BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 7-37 OF SAID CODE; PRO- <br />VIDING THAT THE FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH AN ORDER OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL TO REMOVE OR REPAIR BUILDINGS DE- <br />CLARED TO BE A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPER- <br />TY OR DILAPIDATED OR DANGEROUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY <br />OR A DANGEROUS STRUCTCTRE TO LIFE AND PROPERTY, WITHIN <br />THE TIME PROVIDED, IS UNLAWFUL; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY <br />NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVID- <br />ING FOR AN EFFECTNE DATE OF JUNE l, 1978. <br />BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1. That Section 7-37 of the Code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as <br />follows: <br />"Sec. 7-37. Penalty. <br />It shall be unlawful for the owner of property to <br />fail to comply with an order of the City Council given <br />pursuant to Section 7-36, within the time specified in <br />such order. It shall be a defense to the violation de - <br />scribed herein that the time given in the order of the <br />City Council has been extended by the City Council. " <br />Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this <br /> <br />ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C Misdemeanor, and upon <br />conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00, and each <br />and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated <br />section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 4.
