ORDINANCE NO. 2386 , <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br />PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, <br />BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-17; PROVIDING THAT <br />THE FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH AN ORDER ISSUED BY AN <br />OFFICER MAKING AN INSPECTION PURSUANT TO SECTION 12-16, <br />WITHIN THE TIME PROVIDED TN SUCH ORDER, SHALL BE UN- <br />LAWFUL, AND REPEALING SECTION 12-18; PROVIDING FOR A <br />PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORDI- <br />NANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1978. <br />BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section l. That the title to Section 12-17 and the last sen- <br />tence of Section 12-17(a) of the Code of Ordinances, City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: <br />"Sec. 12-17. Failure to comply with orders to correct <br />or remove fire hazards and other dan- <br />gerous conditions unlawful. <br />(a)... <br />Such order shall state the time within which the owner <br />or occupant of such premises or building shall have to <br />comply with said order, and the failure to so comply <br />shall be unlawful. " <br />Section 2. That Section 12-18 of the Code of Ordinances, <br />City of Paris, is hereby repealed and declared null and void and <br />of no effect. <br />Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon <br />conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00, and each <br />and every day's continuance of any violation of Section 12-17 shall <br />constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 5.
