ORDINANCE NO. 2200 . <br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PRO- <br />PERTY BY THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING <br />AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC <br />HEARING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1. That on the 4th day of November, 1974, at 5:15 0' clock <br />P. M. , in the City Council Room of the City Hall of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested <br />persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the <br />City of Paris, Paris, Texas, of the following described property: <br />Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and con- <br />tiguous to the City Limit Line of the City of Paris as heretofore <br />established by Ordinance Nos. 1569 and 1617; <br />BEGINNING at a point in the North Right of Way Line of Loop <br />Highway 286 N. W. , said point being in the East Boundary Line of <br />the St. Louis -San Francisco Railway Company Right of Way, said <br />point being the South West Corner of a 4. 89 acre tract of land <br />conveyed Reuben M. Ginsberg by deed dated August 10, 1971, <br />recorded Vol. 528, Page 826, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; <br />THENCE in a Westerly direction with said North Right of Way <br />Line of Loop Highway 286 N. W., 110 feet, more or less, to a <br />point, being the South East Corner of the Campbell Soup Company <br />property, said point being the South East Corner of a 20. 987 acre <br />tract of land purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Paris, <br />Texas Industrial Foundation, Inc. ; <br />THENCE in a Westerly direction with the North Right of Way <br />Line of Loop Highway 286 to the South West Corner of the <br />Campbell Soup Company property, also being the South West Corner <br />of a 26.326 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from <br />Smith; <br />THENCE North 0 Degrees 24 Minutes East with the West <br />Boundary Line of said Smith tract 1042 feet to a point, said point <br />being in the South Boundary Line of a 6 acre tract purchased by <br />Campbell Soup Company from Holley; <br />THENCE South 89 Degrees 30 Minutes East, a distance of <br />389 feet with said Holley South Boundary Line to the South East <br />Corner of said Holley tract; <br />THENCE North 1 Degree East a distance of 1229. 6 feet to <br />the most Westerly North West Corner of a 35. 532 acre tract <br />purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Council; <br />THENCE North 89 Degrees 30 Minutes East, 577 feet to an <br />ell corner in said 35. 532 acre tract; <br />THENCE North 0 Degrees 15 Minutes East, 1014. 2 feet to <br />the most Northerly North West Corner of said 35. 532 acre <br />Council tract; <br />THENCE East 2993 feet, more or less, to a point in the <br />West Boundary Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railway <br />Company Right of Way, said point also being the North East <br />Corner of a l. 243 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup <br />Company from Council; <br />THENCE East 100 feet, more or less, to the East Right of <br />Way Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railway Company; <br />THENCE in a Southerly and South Westerly direction with <br />said East Right of Way Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco <br />Railway Company 2950 feet, more or less, to the place of <br />beginning, containing 219.733 acres, more or less. <br />
