THENCE North 0 Degrees 24 Minutes East with the West Boundary Line of said Smith tract 1042 feet to a point, said pai nt being in the South Boundary Line of a 6 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Holley; THENCE South 89 Degrees 30 Minutes East, a distance of 389 feet with said Holley South Boundary Line to the South East Corner of said Holley tract; THENCE North 1 Degree East a distance of 1229. 6 feet to the most Westerly North West Corner of a 35. 532 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Council; THENCE North 89 Degrees 30 Minutes East, 577 feet to an ell corner in said 35. 532 acre tract; THENCE North 0 Degrees 15 Minutes East, 1014.2 feet to the most Northerly North West Corner of said 35. 532 acre Council tract; THENCE East 2993 feet, more or less, to a point in the West Boundary Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railway Company Right of Way, said point also being the North East Corner of a l. 243 acre tract purchased by Campbell Soup Company from Council; THENCE East 100 feet, more or less, to the East Right of Way Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railway Company; THENCE in a Southerly and South Westerly direction with said East Right of Way Line of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railway Company 2950 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning, containing 219.733 acres, more or less. Section 2. The above described territory and area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Paris, Texas, and the property so added hereby shall bear its pro rata part of the taxes levied by the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas. Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any uncon- stitutional or invalid phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections. It is further hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris to exclude any area or areas described in the description of the property to be annexed, which are not within said City's jurisdiction to annex and that such area or areas should be carved out of the descrip- tion of the property herein described b_y the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent j urisdiction, in order that such area or areas would not cause this annexation ordinanc-e to be found to be invalid, void- able or vo:id. Section 4. This ordinance shall be published and passed in the manner provided in Article II, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.
