ORDINANCE NO. 2258 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRO- VIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF A TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICE SYSTEM; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REP EALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON- FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF DECEMBER l, 1975. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 29 -80 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 29 -80. Traffic -control device system. (a) Establishment. A traffic-control device system for the City of Paris is hereby adopted and designated and set out upon the traffic -control device map of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, said map being a part of this section as fully as if the same were set forth herein in detail. All traffic -control devices shall be placed only in accordance with this map and amendments adopted thereto. (b) Traffic-control device map adopted. Two original, official and identical copies of the traffic -control device map are hereby adopted, bearing the signature of the mayor, the attestation of the city clerk and approved as to form by the city attorney, and shall be filed and maintained as follows: (1) One copy shall be filed with the city clerk and retained as the original record and shall not be changed in any manner. (2) One copy shall be filed with the chief, Paris police department, and shall be maintained up to date by the city engineer by posting all changes in the form of subsequent amendments in enforcing the observance of said devices. (3) Reproductions for information purposes may from time to time be made of the official traffic-control device map." Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
