ORDINANCE NO. 2259 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRO- VIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 27-98 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR LIMITATION ON HEIGHT OF SIGHT OBSTRUCTIONS NEAR STREET CORNERS; PROVIDING FOR A. PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF DECEMBER 1, 1975. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAR IS: Section l. That Section 27 -98 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 27-98. Limitation on height of sight obstruc- tions near street corners. It shall be unlawful for any person, his agents, servants or employees, to place, caused to be placed or suffer any plants, trees, shrubbery, ve- getation, fences, vehicles, machinery, materials, structures or objects having a height greater than three (3) feet above the level of the center of the nearest abutting street, on or in that portion of any corner lot which is included in a triangle on the street corner of the lot formed by a diagonal line intersecting the property lines at points twenty (20) feet from the street corner intersection of the property lines. " Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on December l, 1975.
