ORDINANCE NO. 2260 . <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRO- <br />VIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION TO BE NUMBERED <br />29 -62; PROVIDING FOR REGULATION OF LOCAL HEAVY TRUCK <br />TRAFFIC; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF DECEMBER 1, 1975. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PA R IS: <br />Section l. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, be amended by adding a section to be numbered 29 -62, <br />to read as follows: <br />"Sec. 29 -62. Regulation of local heavy truck traffic. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any truck, truck <br />tractor and semi -trailer, or any commercial motor <br />vehicle with a rated capacity of one and one-half <br />(1-1/2) tons or more according to the manufacturers <br />classification, or the equivalent thereof, being <br />operated as local traffic, to enter or use streets <br />within the city, which are posted with signs stating <br />"No Truck Traffic". <br />(b) "Local traffic" as used herein means <br />traffic originating inside or outside the corporate <br />limits of the City of Paris with a destination inside <br />the corporate limits of the City of Paris. " <br />Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon <br />conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00. <br />Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 4.
