<br />AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES
<br />LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VAR-
<br />IOUS OWNERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
<br />FINDING THE MATERIALS REMAINING IN THE PREMISES TO
<br />CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE
<br />AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE
<br />OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID
<br />RUBBISH, LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE
<br />TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES, IN ORDER TO
<br />ABATE SUCH NUISANCE.
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was, on the lOth day of May, 1976,
<br />called to order by the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette,
<br />at 7:00 o'clock P. M. , in the City Council Room, in the City of Paris,
<br />Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard
<br />Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution re-
<br />ferred to the Committee by the City Council on December 8, 1975,
<br />and said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00 0' clock A. M. , on
<br />the 16th day of April, 1976, and the hearing was had thereon. That
<br />proper notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures lo-
<br />cated at the following addresses:

<br />612 lst Street, N. E. , Lot 7, City Block 92
<br />620 lst Street, N. E. , Lot 7, City Block 92
<br />1100 Block of 6th Street, N. E. , Lots 5 and 6, Block 1, Hull Addition
<br />1149 8th Street, N. E. , Part of Lot 1 and Lot 2, Block 2, Pickard Addition
<br />1565 llth Street, N. E. , Lot 2, Block D, East Park Addition
<br />518 5th Street, S. E. , Lot 10, City Block 142
<br />That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved and
<br />introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures and var-
<br />ious portions of the premises involved. That the Committee found that
<br />each of the above structures were in such state of deterioration and di-
<br />lapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and property and
<br />that each of said buildings was dilapidated and was dangerous to life
<br />and property and dangerous structures to life and property. That said
<br />buildings are in such a state of dilapidation and decay that none of said
<br />structures are capable of repair. It is further found that the condition
<br />of the premises and structures involved were such that the Committee
<br />recommended to the City Council that they be declared a nuisance and
<br />that the owners thereof be ordered by the City Council to tear down and
<br />remove the same from the lots involved. That said Committee filed a
<br />complete report of its hearing and its findings with the City Clerk of
<br />the City of Paris on the 4th day of May, 1976; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council has fully heard and considered the
<br />testimony presented upon the hearing and a complete transcript of the
<br />testimony reported by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee; NOW,
