AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE DELETION OF PRIVATE CLUB AS A PERMITTED USE IN SDCTION 8-104; PROVIDING FOR PRIVATE CLUB TO BE A PERMITTED USE IN SDCTION 8-106; PRO- VIDING FOR A DEFINITION OF PRIVATE CLUB THAT COINCIDES WITH AFZTICLE 666-15e, VF.RNON'S ANNOTATED PENAL CODE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS; DELETING SPBCIFIC USE PERMITS FOR A PRIVATE CLUB IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE, GENERAL RETAIL AND COMMERCIAL DIS- TRICTS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO FXCEED $200.00; REPF.AI.- ING ALL ORDINANCFS OR PARTS OF ORDINA,NCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBF~Z 1, 1972. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS : Section 1. That the following paragraphs of Section 8 of Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, which establishes a Use Schedule Chart, be amended as follows: 118-104 ACCESSORY AND INCIDENTAL USFS Delete Private Club as ap2~imitted use. 8-106 RETAIL & SFRVICE TYPE USFS Add Private Club as a permitted use in the General Retail District (GR), Commercial District (C) and Central Area District (CA)." Section 2. That Section 8-201, Subparagraph 17, of Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended to read as follows: 1117. Private Club - Shall be as defined by Article 666-15e of Vernon's Annotated Penal Code and amendments thereto." Section 3. That Paragraph 12-100, Subparagraph (22), of Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be deleted. Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con- viction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00. Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby expressly repeal ed. Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1972.
