<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
<br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CH4NGING THE BOUNDARIES ES-
<br />TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
<br />PLANNED DEVELOPMEIVT DISTRICT (PD), SHOPPING CENTER, FIRE
<br />LIMITS, ON LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 205, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO
<br />SAMMY SHORT, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DE-
<br />SIGNATED AS A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), FIRE LIMITS; AND
<br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF 'I`HE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
<br />(PD), SHOPPING CIIVTER, FIRE LIMITS9 SO ESTABLISHED.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by
<br />the Zoning Map an d Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
<br />Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
<br />Planned Development District (PD), Shopping Center, Fire
<br />Limits, be, and the same is hereby established on Lot 5, City
<br />Block 205, on property belonging to Sammy Short, so as to in-
<br />clude in such Planned Development District (PD), Shopping
<br />Center, Fire Limits, the hereinafter described property, which
<br />was formerly and is presently designated as a General Retail
<br />District (GR), Fire Limits, and that the boundaries of said
<br />Planned Development District (PD), Shopping Center, Fire
<br />Limits, be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
<br />Situated within the corporate limits of the City of
<br />Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a part of the
<br />Asa Jarman Survey, and being a tract of land known as the
<br />Rosa Pearson School lot, being Lot 5, City Block 205.
<br />BEGINNING at a stake for corner at the Northeast
<br />corner of said tract of land.
<br />THENCE West along the South Boundary line of Bonham
<br />Street a distance of 228.5 feet to a stake for corner at
<br />the Northwest corner of said tract of land;
<br />THENCE South a distance of 292 feet to a stake for
<br />corner at the Southwest corner of said tract of land;
<br />THENCE Ea.st along the North Boundary line of Kaufman
<br />Street a distance of 228.5 feet to a stake for corner at
<br />the Southeast corner of said tract of land;
<br />THENCE North along the West Boundary line of 19th
<br />S. W., a distance of 292 feet to the place of beginning
<br />and containing 1.53 acres of land.
<br />Section 2. That the plot plan of the property herein re-
<br />zoned, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is approved subject to the
<br />Assistant Director of Public Works' requirements enumerated in
<br />his memo to the City Council dated January 8, 1973, except that
<br />requirement entitled "ZONING ORDINANCE" is expressly waived.
<br />Section 3. The zoning herein granted is conditioned upon
<br />the conveyance of a right of way easement along the entire
<br />length of the property on both 19th Street, S. W. and Bonham
<br />Street,five (5) feet deep with owner retaining use until public
<br />need arises.
<br />Section 4. That the City Engineer of the City of P'aris,
<br />be, and he is hexeby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
<br />City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
<br />No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
<br />accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
