ORDINANCE NO. 2135 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDA- RIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH- ING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON A PART OF LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 250, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO ELMER TOWERS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Commercial District (C), be, and the same is hereby established on a Part of Lot l, City Block 250, on property belonging to Elmer Towers, so as to include in such Commercial District (C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a One Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of said Commercial District (C), be, and the same are hereby established as follows: Situated within the Corporate Limits of the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas; being a part of the Reddin Russell Survey, Abstract No. 786; also being a part of a 50 acre tract of land described in Deed of Record in Volume 128, Page 418, Lamar County Deed Records; said 9. 659 acre tract being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at an Iron Pipe (found) for a corner, said point being South 84 ° East, 1593 feet from the original N/E corner of the 50 acre tract described in the above mentioned Deed; Thence East 441 feet to an Iron Pipe set for a corner, said point being the S/E corner of land owned by Jesse Thrasher; Thence South 1° 17' East, 936. 3 feet to an Iron Pipe set for a corner, said point being in the N/B/L of Clement Road; Thence with the N/B/L of Clement Road, North 89 ° West, 462 feet to an Iron Pipe set for a corner; Thence North 928 feet to the place of beginning containing 9. 659 acres of land. Being a Part of Lot l, City Block 250. Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
