AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1406, ARTICLE VIII, SECTION 2(d), OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS; DE- CREASING THE SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF LOOP HIGHWAY 480, FORMERLY BEING DESIGNATED U. S. HIGHWAY 271, AND DESIGNATED CLARKSVILLE STREET, AND DECREASING THE PEAL- SPEED LIMITS VIDINOG OR A INE NTOOTNTO EXCEED $ 00.00 YRE271 EAST, O ING ALL ORDINANCES TN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1973. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1406, Article VIII, Section 2(d), be amended to read as follows: "(d) On Loop Highway 480, formerly being designated U. S. Highway 271, and being designated Clarksville Street, as follows: l. From the East Boundary Lines of Crockett Circle and 19th Street S. E. 's int ersection with Clarksville Street, East 0. 397 miles to a point East of 24th Street S. E. 's intersection with Clarksville Street, as shown by the strip map attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof, a speed limit of 40 miles per hour. 2. From said last described point East for a distance of 0. 250 miles to a point East of 27th Street S. E. 's intersection with Clarksville Street, as shown by the strip map attached hereto as Exhibit A, a speed limit of 45 miles per hour. 3. From said last described point 1.300 miles to the intersection of Loop 480 with U. S. 271 East, as shown by the strip map attached hereto as Exhibit A, a speed limit of 50 miles per hour. 4. From the intersection of Loop 480 with U. S. Highway 271 East, East 0. 500 miles to a point, as shown by the strip map attached hereto as Exhibit A, a speed limit of 50 miles per hour. 5. From said last described point East along U. S. Highway 271 East 0. 250 miles to M. P. 3.904 and the City Limit Line, as shown by the strip map attached hereto as Exhibit A, a speed limit of 60 miles per hour. " Section 2. 111at any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum not to exceed $200.00. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on July l, 1973.
