ORDINANCE NO. 2003 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY 0.1 PARIS, TEXAS, BY REVISING SBCTION 7-14; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE, 1967 EDITION; PROVIDING FOR A PEIVALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCFS OR PARTS OF ORDINANCFS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFDCTIVE DATE OF FEBRUARY 1, 1971. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That Section 7-14 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: ssSection 7-14. Adopted. For the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures, including permits and penalties, there is hereby adopted as the building co de of the city, that certain building code known as National Building Code, 1967 Edition, recommended by the American Insurance Association, save and except such portions as are deleted, modified or amended by this article, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. A copy of such code has been and is now on file in the office of the city clerk and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the construction of all buildings and other structures thexein contained within the corporate limits of the city." Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con- viction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Tnro Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ord.inances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on February l, 1971.
