Inc., for the Clarksville Street Sidewalk Project; authorizing the City <br />Manager to negotiate and execute all necessary documents. <br />POLICY ISSUE(S): <br />Contract Change Order <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Original bid amount was $237,006.62 and change order #1 was a deduction of $17,479.25. That <br />made the contract amount $219,527.37. Change order #2 will be a deduction of $407.99 and add seven <br />days to the construction time. The details to change order #2 are attached; the primary reason for the <br />change involved the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) changes on a utility permit. Change <br />order # 3 will add $12,437.00 to the contract and add 14 additional days to the contract time. The new <br />contract amount would be $231,556.38. Change order #3 is needed because of an unforeseen condition <br />with an existing basement and a thin concrete sidewalk over it.
