<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PRO-
<br />PERTY ON BROWN AVENUE, FROM THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 19TH
<br />STREET, S. W. , 591 FEET WFST TO THE WFST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 7,
<br />BLOCK A, MEADOWVIEW ADDITION, OWNED BY HARRELL A. TIPPITT, AND
<br />THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 11, CITY BLOCK 309, OWNED BY R. A.
<br />WILLIAMS, FACH OF WHICH LIE IN THE F.AST BOUNDARY LINE OF LOT 15,
<br />CITY BLOCK 309, IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TF.XAS; DIRBCTIDG THE CITY
<br />CLERK OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO PUBLISH THE SAME THREE (3) TIMES
<br />IN THE PARIS NEWS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING
<br />THE FINAL ESTIMATE OF COSTS AND CONSTRUCTION PLANS OF SUCH
<br />STREET IMPROVEMFNTS AS FILED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OF
<br />THE CITY OF PARIS; FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE ASSFSSED AGAINST
<br />THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNFRS AND THE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THE
<br />CITY OF PARIS; AND WITH THE INTIINTION OF FIXING A CHARGE AND
<br />LI EN AGAINST THE REAL AND TRUE OWNEF2S OF SAI D PROPERTY AND
<br />AGAINST THE SAI D PROPERTY ITSII.F.
<br />Whereas, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br />Texas, hereby finds and determines:
<br />l. That the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br />Texas, has heretofore by ordinance duly enacted on
<br />the 14th day of September, 1970, determined the ne-
<br />cessity for and ordered the improvement of Brown
<br />Avenue, from the West Bou.ndary Line of 19th Street,
<br />S. W., 591 feet West to the West Boundary Line of
<br />Lot 7, Block A, Meadowview Addition, owned by
<br />Harrell A. Tippitt, and the West Bourxi.ary Line of
<br />Lot 11, City Block 309, owned by R. A. Williams,
<br />each of which lie in the East Boundary Line of
<br />Lot 15, City Block 309, by installation of a six
<br />inch (611) soil cement base with a one and one-half
<br />inch (1211) asphalt surface, andaccording to the
<br />plans and specifications prepared by the Director
<br />of Public Works.
<br />2. That a notice duly executed in the name of the City
<br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, of the enactment of said
<br />above described ordinance has heretofore been filed
<br />with the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas, the
<br />County in which said City of Paris is situated.
<br />3. That the City Council has caused the Director of
<br />Public Works to prepare and file estimates of the
<br />costs of such improvements and estimates of the
<br />amounts per front foot to be assessed against the
<br />property abutting said street within the limits
<br />defined and the real and true owners thereof.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PAR I S, T FXAS :
<br />Section 1. The date for public hearing before the City
<br />Council of the abutting property owners on the above described
<br />property is hereby fixed at 7:00 o'clock P. M., in the City
<br />Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 14th day of June,
<br />1971. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the
<br />Paris News, notice of the public hearing, three (3) times prior
<br />to said public hearing, the first of said notices to be pub-
<br />lished at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the date of the
<br />public hearing, as required by law.
