DRAFT <br />RESOLUTION N0. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />DECLARING VARIOUS USED CITY-OWNED VEHICLES SURPLUS AND <br />AUTHORIZING DISPOSITION OF THE SURPLUS PROPERTY IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH STATE AND LOCAL LAW; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS <br />AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, several departments of the City of Paris have furnished a list of used <br />vehicles, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which no longer serve a useful purpose for the City <br />of Paris and its operation, and it would be appropriate that said vehicles be declared <br />surplus property and disposed of in accordance with State and local law; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City will enter into an Agreement with Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. <br />to auction off the referenced surplus property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the used vehicles described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, be, and <br />the same are hereby, declared to be surplus property of the City of Paris, and the same may <br />be disposed of in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City <br />of Paris. <br />Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any and all <br />documents necessary with Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. to auction off the referenced <br />surplus property. <br />Section 4.
