ORDINANC E NO. 2022 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCFS OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS, BY REVISING SDCTION 17-16 OF SAID CODE; PRO- <br />VIDING THAT THE LIBRARY BOARD OF DIRDCTORS SHALL CONSIST OF <br />NOT LFSS THE1N FIVE (5) MEMBERS NOR MORE THAN TWEI,VE (12) MF.NI- <br />BERS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCFS OR PARTS OF ORDINANCFS IN CON- <br />FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN F.FFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 10, <br />1971. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section l. That Section 17-16 of the Code of Ordinances <br />of the City of Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall <br />read as follows: <br />"Section 17-16. Composition; appointment and terms of <br />members ; filling of vacancies. <br />The board shall consist of not less than five (5) <br />members nor more than twelve (12) members. The members <br />of the board shall be appointed by the city council for <br />a term of one (1) year, or until their successors are <br />appointed and qualified. Vacancies on the board result- <br />ing from resignations or any other cause shall be filled <br />by appointment of the city council, upon the recommenda- <br />tion of the board, but the number of inembers shall in no <br />case be less than five (5) nor more than twelve (12),11 <br />Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- <br />flict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Section 3.
